Final Fantasy X

Square Enix has released the E3 2013 trailer of Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster, the HD versions of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. In the trailer you can see in-game footage of Final Fantasy X, including the battle system. The game is set to release this year for PlayStaion 3 as Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster and seperate games for PlayStation Vita.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

Square Enix has revealed the E3 2013 trailer of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII showing returning characters and gameplay from the final game in the Lightning saga. They have also announced that the game has been delayed and will now be released in North America on 11 February 2014 and Europe on 14 February 2014 instead of this year.

Final Fantasy XIV

Some of you might be waiting for this. Square Enix has officially announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will hit the stores on 27 August! Subscription fees will start at $12.99 in the United States, £7.69 in the United Kingdom and €10.99 in Europe.

When you pre-order the MMORPG you'll receive early access to the world of Eorzea, a Cait Sith Doll Minion and a Mog Cap as in-game item.

Square Enix has also announced something a little big more special, the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Collector’s Edition.

This collector's edition will contain an 80-page hardcover art book with concept art of the game, a bonus video disc that takes a cinematic look at the events leading up to the realm being reborn, an album that features musical scores by renowned Final Fantasy series composers, five art cards and a security token. You'll also receive the Helm of Light, Baby Behemoth Minion, Coeurl Mount and Behemoth Barding in-game items.

If you can't wait to play the game, you can still sign up for the Phase 3 Beta test that will start in June. This, a new Tour of Eorzeo video and more can be found on the official website.

Players who bought the original version of Final Fantasy XIV (that was released back in September 2010) do not have to buy the new version but can download it for free.

Final Fantasy XIV

Square Enix has released a new trailer today of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn called A New Beginning. In this trailer you see the end of an era trailer (which is awesome) that was released when the original version came to an end two months ago and the reborn realm where our hero's have been teleported to (around 5:30).

Square Enix has also opened beta tester application for the PC and PlayStation 3 version. Apply now if you are interested! North American testers can apply here, European here.

Final Fantasy XIV

Square Enix has released the first screenshots of the PlayStation 3 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. In one of the screenshots you can see that you can shortcut spells on the L2 and R2 button and on another screenshot you see a XMB looking menu.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be launched next month with an alpha version. The PlayStation 3 version will be released shortly after the PC version.

Final Fantasy X

Yoshinori Kitase, producer of Final Fantasy XIII-2, has recently given an interview in the German magazine M! Games in where he also talked about Final Fantasy X HD.

He said that it's unclear if he will be involved in the project, since the 'remake' is still in the early stage of development. He believes that he will be and for this reason alone, to ensure that "the quality of the new edition of the model is fit".

Final Fantasy X

At Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference Shinji Hashimoto has announced that a HD port of Final Fantasy X will be released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The HD release is to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game that was released back in 2001 on the PlayStation 2.

Final Fantasy VII

Last week on the European PlayStation Blog it was revealed that several Final Fantasy VII characters will be coming to LittleBigPlanet 2. The costume of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Vincent and Sephiroth will be available on 13 July and will cost $1.99 / € 1.99 / £1.59 each. Vincent can only be acquired when you buy the costume pack which will cost ya $5.99 / € 5.99 / £4.79.

Final Fantasy XIV

Yoichi Wada, president of Square Enix, has announced today that they offer their sincerest apologies to the fans for the lack of quality that Final Fantasy XIV currently has. To improve that they've made changes to the developer team.

Naoki Yoshida is the new director and producer of the game, replacing Hiromichi Tanaka who has taken full responsibility and has stepped down. He continues to support the development team, who also have been changed.

The PlayStation 3 version, which was played for a March release, has been delayed with an unknown time. The free trail period has been extended again till the team has provided a plan that outlines a level of enjoyment that will satisfy both the team and the fans.

Star Ocean 4

Star Ocean: The Last Hope International has been released today in the United States for the PlayStation 3.

The International version features additional content such as Japanese voices and 4 other languages (German, French, Italian and Spanish).

The game will be released in Europe this Friday.
