November 2008

Here you can find news items that were posted on Hell and Heaven Net in the past.

Kikizo, a gaming website specialized in interviews got the chance to interview Square Enix Cooperate director Shinji Hashimoto and Final Fantasy series producer Yoshinori Kitase about Final Fantasy XIII.

Here's a summary of the interview:
- According to them Final Fantasy VII was the first game that was enjoyed by the overseas public and that they might been too conscious with removing Japanese elements from the game.
- They are currently working on the PlayStation 3 version and are going to complete it first before moving to the Xbox 360. They are in the state that they can put the build on blu-ray discs and test it.
- They will not adjust the quality of the game now that the game will also be released on Xbox 360.
- They wanted to release it earlier in Japan on PlayStation 3, but they first had to get more experienced with the new hardware.- The scenario is good as done and the art assets are 80% complete.
- Lightning, which is not her real name, will be the main character.
- All Fabula Nova Crystallis games have a different director and are based on the "crystal mythology".

You can read the whole interview here. Final Fantasy XIII will be released somewhere in 2009.

The game will be released in Japan on 19th February and in North America on 3rd March exclusively for Xbox 360.

Yesterday Square Enix has released the enhanced remake of Chrono Trigger for the Nintendo DS across North America! The game that was originally released for the Super Nintendo was among fans one of the best RPG's of that time.

The game has several new features like an Arena mode, new dungeons, touch screen and a new ending.

The game will be released in Europe for the first time (Super Nintendo and PlayStation version were never released there) in early 2009.

Hell and Heaven Net

You might be wondering why the website isn't updated with new content lately. While, I've been rather busy with school and other websites that I have to maintain.

But I'm not letting Hell and Heaven Net die! To replace the really old layout, I'm currently working on a new one that is almost done and needs to be coded still. Only that takes quite some time, since everything needs to be changed. The new layout will be a simple one, no high quality designing, since I'm not experienced enough with it. The community forums will be getting a new layout soon too that's based on the new layout.

I'm expecting that the new layout will be launched next weekend.

The Last Remnant

Today Square Enix has released The Last Remnant for the Xbox 360 across the world. It's the first time Square Enix has released a game worldwide at one day. Let's hope they will do it too with future releases.

The Last Remnant is a turn-based RPG running on the Unreal Engine 3. The game received a 38/40 from Famitsu. If you haven't seen enough about the game you should check out the latest Tokyo Game Show trailer.

Square Enix is currently building a new studio in Los Angelos (El Segundo) where they want to develop an action-oriented game. According to their careers section they are searching for a Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Product Manager, Associate Product Manager, Quality Assurance Tester and a Quality Assurance Translator. The Senior Software Engineer has to have experience with the Xbox 360 especially, so properly the game will be developed for that console.
