Final Fantasy Type-0

While Japanese fans are waiting for the sequel of Final Fantasy Type-0, we are still waiting for the original to be released. According to an anonymous source the release was very close.

The anonymous source, who recorded a voice over for the game, has told Operation Suzaku that the English localization of Final Fantasy Type-0 is at least 90% complete. The dubbing sessions took place just after the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 in Japan on 27 October 2011. The recording of the voices was complete.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Class Zero

But things went wrong at the beginning of 2012. PSP software and hardware sales had not been doing very well in the United States. Square Enix reacted to this by putting the localization of the game on hold.

Recently GameSpot had an interview with Hajime Tabata, scenario director of Final Fantasy Type-0. He said that they are waiting for the fans to strongly show interest for the game.

Operation Suzaku

Operation Suzaku has started a petition to bring Final Fantasy Type-0 to the west. You can sign the petition here.

Final Fantasy XIV

At midnight today the original service of Final Fantasy XIV has come to an end. A massive meteor called Dalamud was summoned to crash the planet which will be the start of the in-game changes that will be coming soon. If you have played Final Fantasy XIV before your character data has been saved on 1 November and will be carried to A Realm Reborn.

With the end of the original game Square Enix has released a (awesome) CG trailer called the End of the Era.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is currently in closed alpha test and they are planning to open it to the public on 26 November.

The former president of Square Enix, Hisashi Suzuki, said on Twitter that the merge of Square and Enix in 2003 was a complete failure. He also said that the company has no vision for the future.

He replies on a press release from Square Enix stating that the company has lost 5.5 billion yen ($59 million USD / € 54 million) in the last quarter due to disappointment console sales.

Hisashi Suzuki was president of Square Enix from 2003 to 2005 and currently is director at Sega.
