After years of rumours that were hyping up during E3 this year they are true. During Sony's E3 2015 press conference the remake of Final Fantasy VII has been announced with a trailer. The remake will first be released on PlayStation 4. It's unknown if it will be released on other platforms.

The past weekend Square Enix has released a hype video teasing their line-up for E3 2015 taking place this week. Games that will be present on E3 are Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, Just Cause 3, Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below (why such a long title?) and Life is Strange.
There are also some surprises coming up, so the rumour hype can start again! It was earlier announced that Final Fantasy XV will not be present on E3, but on gamescom.
Square Enix's first E3 press conference will take place on Tuesday 16 June at 10:00 PT / 13:00 ET / 18:00 BST / 19:00 CEST.

During Active Time Report page 6.0, that was streamed this afternoon, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata announced that Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae 2.0 patch will be available for download in the West next Tuesday 9 June.
This patch will feature graphical enhancements, more interactions and improvements to the framerate. These are a couple of reasons that the release of this patch was delayed several weeks. Japan will receive the patch tomorrow.

Recently it was announced by Square Enix on Twitter that version 2.0 of was delayed till the start of June. More recently they've announced the time when the next Active Time Report will be streamed.
What will be shown during Active Time Report Page 6.0 has not been said, but likely we might get a look at some of the improvements of version 2.0 of Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae.
The stream can be viewed here and will go live on 4 June at 22:00 hours JST. That's 09:00 EST / 06:00 PST in the United States and 15:00 CEST in most countries in Europe.

Recently Square Enix announced that they will release Final Fantasy IV: The After Years on Steam. Now it's available for digital purchase for $16 / € 14.49.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is the sequel to Final Fantasy IV and takes place 17 years after the 1991 classic where classic characters make their return alongside several new characters. This port is based on the iOS and Android versions (and has been enchanced), which resembles the Nintendo DS version of Final Fantasy IV.

Square Enix has teamed up with NVIDIA and Microsoft and developed a tech demo showing what DirectX 12 can do. The tech demo, called WITCH CHAPTER 0 [cry], was showed on Microsoft Build 2015 and featured Agni, who was also shown in Square Enix's previous tech demo Agni’s Philosophy 3 years ago.

Square Enix is developing an update to the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo that was released in March together with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. This has been announced during a special Active Time Report, where the feedback of the survey that Square Enix opened for everyone who has played the demo was discussed.
The update, which is called Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae 2.0, is aimed to be released mid-to-late May and will feature the following updates:
AXB (Active Cross Battle) enhancements (possibly including more combo attacks and a dodge roll);
Camera and targeting system enhancements;
Additional combat actions/balancing and bug fixes;
Increased range of actions for each weapon;
MP recovery and usage tweaks;
Titan bug fix.
Square Enix has also announced that Final Fantasy XV will not have a major presence at E3, but the next major reveal will be at gamescom in August 2015.
More news can be found in the Active Time Report which can be viewed below. Another Active Time Report will be held around the end of May when all survey results have been collected and possibly when the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae 2.0 is released.

The latest issue of Japanese game magazine Famitsu has revealed that Square Enix's new project, which SE has been teasing for a couple of days now, is Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness! The game is in development by tri-Ace and will be released on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
The prologue of the game is as follows:
Do the depths of space forbid peace for mankind—
Centuries after leaving Earth, after a multitude of trials, with the creation and spread of the ‘Galactic Federation,’ humanity was on the verge of unified order and peace.
But the embers of conflict have begun to burn again.
Over 6,000 light years from Earth, on the unsettled planet, ‘Feycreed.’
Just as so many times before, the waves of history begin from a remote planet.

Square Enix has revealed a teaser website of a new project. The artwork, the letters S A R and number 0 1 0 1 showing on the teaser website might indicate that it's a new game in the Star Ocean series. If you click on the Facebook or Twitter share button at the top left you can see the text "NEXT 2015.04.13", so except something this Monday (13 April 2015).

Square Enix has released the last trailer of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, which is the launch trailer. Only one night to go for us European fans. North America and Japan already got the game. When you purchase the first print of the game, you'll also receive a download code for Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae.
