Final Fantasy X

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster will be available on Steam this Thursday, 12 May. This after the HD upgrade of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 has been released on PlayStation 3 and Vita in 2014 and PlayStation 4 last year.

The Steam version will feature auto-save, 5 game-boosters (Turbo, Supercharge, Eneny encounter settings, Auto battle mode and Hide HUD) and 3 parameters that can not be turned off when activated (99 of each item excluding Key Items, Unlock all skills and Max Gil).

Final Fantasy XV

In about 5 hours Square Enix will hold the big Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event, where the game's release date will be announced. According to a news update video from GameSpot, that has been taken down, Final Fantasy XV will be released on 30 September.

The other announcement in the news update video is that a new demo will be released featuring a younger Noctis. No footage of the demo was shown in the video, however a Chinese trailer has also hit the internet today showing footage of the demo.

In the Chinese trailer you enter the dream of young Noctis and you meet a new friend, the summon Carbuncle. This demo part will not be playable in the final game.

Yesterday the first Star Log has been broadcasted on YouTube and Twitch about the upcoming Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, the fifth game in the Star Ocean series. During the stream the story trailer has been revealed and two characters profiles were shown from Fidel Camuze (the protagonist) and Miki Sauvester.

What also has been revealed is that Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will feature dual audio. You can select Japanese and English voice overs and English subtitles.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will be released in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 this Summer. Japan will get the PlayStation 4 version on 31 March and the PlayStation 3 version on 28 April.

Final Fantasy XV

According to Gematsu.com Square Enix is planning to launch Final Fantasy XV worldwide on Friday 30 September 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This information was corroborated by three independent sources who would have knowledge of the matter. According to the website the release on this day will be very likely, however given sensitivity of the matter, and that within a company setting anything can change before it is made public, they're reporting it as a rumor.

The release date will be officially announced at Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV, an event taking place on 30 March at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Final Fantasy XV was first announced as Final Fantasy Versus XIII on E3 2006 exclusively for PlayStation 3. On E3 2013 it was revealed as Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy IX

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy IX now officially has been released on Android and iOS devices today. In celebration of its release, the game will be available starting today for a discounted price of $16.99 / €16.99, and will then be priced at $20.99 / €20.99 starting on 21 February.

First released in 2000, Final Fantasy IX tells the story of the bandit Zidane Tribal who plans to kidnap the princess of Alexandria, Garnet Til Alexandros the 17th, with the troupe of thieves known as Tantalus. An unlikely series of events set Zidane, Garnet, the shy yet powerful black mage Vivi Ornitier, the loyal knight Adelbert Steiner, and other memorable characters on an epic journey as they learn about themselves, the secrets of the Crystal, and a malevolent force that threatens to destroy their world.

Final Fantasy XV

Earlier today the 7th Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report was broadcasted. This time it was no live broadcast, but recorded a week earlier. The last Active Time Report took place during the Tokyo Game Show 2015 in September.

In this Active Time Report they've shown the 2nd Progress Report, which will likely be the last, since the game is in an advance state of development. Next they went into detail on the Niflheim Empire showing characters were some play an important part in the story. Also new battle footage was shown where the gang is infiltrating a Niflheim Base. Some noticed that the first part of the gameplay footage was sneaking (like in Metal Gear Solid) and than hell brake lose!

Last item on the broadcast was the special event taking place in March. It's called Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV and will take place on 30 March 2016, 19:00 PST at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Tickets will be available on 5 February for free and can be ordered on the official website. During this special event the release date will be announced and more details about the tech demo will be revealed.

After more than one year Final Fantasy Explorers is now finally available in the United States and Europe exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. Players can venture solo or in a party of up to four members via the Nintendo 3DS system’s wireless communication functions to collect materials and advance through dungeons. This all-new action role-playing adventure mixes beloved elements of the Final Fantasy franchise with modern battle mechanics. 

The world is on the brink of war over its reserves of crystals, the planet’s chief source of power. Players must band together to form an elite squad of Explorers on an island rich in crystals, braving hordes of monsters in hopes of conquering a newly discovered Grand Crystal – every Explorer’s dream.

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy V will be released on Steam on 24 September. Final Fantasy V was originally released in 1992 in Japan and weaves a classic tale of magic, monsters and friendship as players follow four unlikely heroes tied together by fate who embark on a journey to restore life to the world's four elemental crystals.

The Steam version will be based on the mobile version that was released in 2013 on iOS and Android and include the following features:

  • Veteran character designer, Kazuko Shibuya, has returned to recreate the characters and graphics from the Game Boy Advance version for an enhanced experience;
  • Updated controls and a newly optimized active-time battle system for an even more fluid PC experience;
  • ·A job and ability system featuring 26 unique classes that allows players to freely customize their four heroes to fit their unique play style;
  • The Sealed Temple, an additional dungeon originally featured in the 2006 version of Final Fantasy V for Game Boy Advance;
  • Enuo, an optional boss created by renowned designer Tetsuya Nomura;
  • Loads of obtainable Steam trading cards and achievements.

The Steam version will be available for $ 15.99 / £ 10.99 / € 14.49. Players who pre-order the game before launch will receive a 10% discount.

Final Fantasy XV

During the Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report that took place yesterday at PAX Prime 2015 director Hajime Tabata announced that Final Fantasy XV will be released in 2016. An exact release date will be announced at a special event that will be held in March 2016.

In this Active Time Report new concept art and in-game footage was showed and a new Active Time Report exclusive was revealed called the Final Fantasy XV Progress Report (Vol. 1). In this progress reports various features of the game are shown which are currently in development.

You can watch the Active Time Report below. The next Active Time Report will be aired during the Tokyo Game Show which will take place from 17 till 20 September.

Kingdom Hearts III

Today at the D23 Expo in Anaheim (USA) has been revealed by Square Enix and Disney that Big Hero 6 is coming to Kingdom Hearts III. The characters of the 2014 animated film complete with the San Fransokyo setting will be featured in the upcoming game. The story will take place after the film.
