Final Fantasy X

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (sold separately) will be launched worldwide this winter. They've also released the Tokyo Game Show 2013 trailer which can be viewed here.

Final Fantasy X

According to a number of people who were attending PAX Prime, which is held from 30 August till 2 September in Seattle, representatives of Square Enix has said that Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster won't be released this year anymore, but early next year.

Square Enix has not yet confirmed this rumour, so hopefully it remains a rumour and Square Enix announces a release date at the Tokyo Game Show, which will take place from 19 till 22 September 2013.

Why are Call of Duty Ghosts and Wolfenstein: The New Order on the list? Well, since Square Enix is the publisher for these games in Japan.

Final Fantasy X

Square Enix has released a new trailer of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster with new footage. The video shows a sequence of battles, focusing on Overdrives, in the original release and in the HD version. They've also have arranged the battle music in the HD version. What are your opinions?

Square Enix has announced their line-up for gamescom, the largest trade fair for video games that takes place from 21 till 25 August in Cologne.

Final Fantasy X

Square Enix has announced today that you can now pre-order Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster and they will also release a limited edition of the HD remake of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 in North America, Europe and other PAL regions. Next to the game the limited edition will contain a book with exclusive artwork from the original development teams.

Square Enix did not tell when Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster will be released. Since Square Enix is remastering the international version of both games, North American fans can fight the Dark Aeons and Penance for the first time and also some other changes.

They've also released a new video comparing the intro movie in the original version of Final Fantasy X and the HD remake. You can also check the official website of the games.

Final Fantasy X

Square Enix has released the E3 2013 trailer of Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster, the HD versions of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. In the trailer you can see in-game footage of Final Fantasy X, including the battle system. The game is set to release this year for PlayStaion 3 as Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster and seperate games for PlayStation Vita.

Final Fantasy X

A couple of days ago Final Fantasy X-2 HD was announced in the Japanese magazine Jump. Today Square Enix has announced that the HD remake of Final Fantasy X and X-2 will be coming to the United Status and Europe!

The HD collection will be known as the Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster and will be released on one disc for PlayStation 3. The PlayStation Vita versions will be sold separately. Both games will be based on the International version. Europeans did get the International version of Final Fantasy X back in 2002 which features the Dark Aeons and the superboss Penance. The International version of Final Fantasy X-2 was never released outside Japan and features two new dresspheres and a new mission.

 

Square Enix also launced the official website where a trailer will be released on the 25th. When the collection will be released this year has not been announced.

Update: It seems the YouTube account of Square Enix Germany has already uploaded the trailer (English voices, but German text).

Final Fantasy X

In the recent issue of the Japanese game magazine Jump is announced that Final Fantasy X-2, the direct sequel to Final Fantasy X will be included in the HD version of Final Fantasy X. Both games will be on the same blu-ray and are based on the International versions.

On the PlayStation Vita the games will be sold separately. A release date has not been announced yet.

Final Fantasy X

Today Sony Computer Entertainment has arranged a livestream showing the upcoming games for the PlayStation Vita. During the stream Square Enix showed the first footage of Final Fantasy X HD running on the PlayStation Vita where you see the new HD character and aeons models.
