Final Fantasy Type-0

Square Enix has released the final trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. This trailer is in Japanese and if you don't want to get spoiled, I suggest don't watch it. But after the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD footage there's extended footage of the Final Fantasy XV demo: Episode Duscae, which contains new scenes.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in North America on 17 March, in Japan on 19 March and Europe on 20 March. Episode Duscae will be playable on release and can be download with a voucher.

Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix has revealed new footage of Final Fantasy XV on the recently held Taipei Game Show in Taiwan. In the video footage (which was recorded with a cam) you can see that you can take control of a cat and explore the railway station (which is still a work in progress).

But before showing the footage, Hajime Tabata announced that XPEC Entertainment, a Taiwanese publisher and developer is one of the many companies that will help Square Enix to develop Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy XV

On the official Final Fantasy Facebook page Square Enix has revealed today the Tokyo Game Show 2014 trailer of Final Fantasy XV from a few months ago with English voices.

Final Fantasy XV

Last Friday Square Enix Presents featured the first Active Time Report with the latest news and footage of games that are currently in development. The first report was dedicated to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy XV.

The stream starts of with Shinji Hashimoto greeting everybody welcome. After that a message from Hajime Tabata is showed where he apologies for the delay of Final Fantasy Agito+, the PlayStation Vita version of the original game which was originally scheduled for release on 15 January 2015.

Next item is Final Fantasy Type-0 HD where footage is shown about the characters with French text and English voices (footage shown on Paris Games Week).

For the Final Fantasy XV part of the stream Yasuyuki Matsunami, map director, and Yusuke Naora, art director, joins the stream to show exploration footage of Noctis and team through the Duscae region. Later also Tech Demo #1 is showed with the current build of Luminous Studio engine version 1.4.

The next Active Time Report will be streamed during Jump Festa which takes place on 20 and 21 December.

Final Fantasy Type-0

Square Enix has released an English subtitled version of the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Flash Talk Show that was live streamed at the beginning of this month. In this 50 minutes during live stream Hajime Tabata, director of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy XV announces new information about both games.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be released in March 2015 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and comes with a voucher of a demo of Final Fantasy XV called Episode Duscae.

Final Fantasy XV

Tetsuya Nomura has been replaced by Hajime Tabata, director of Final Fantasy Type-0 (HD), as director of Final Fantasy XV. The reason for this switch is that Tetsuya Nomura has been working on the original concept for the story and universe and he has also created the characters. Since the development of Final Fantasy XV has come so far, Nomura’s work is pretty much all in place. He has been moved on to work on other projects and make games that only he could do, like Kingdom Hearts III.

The special playable demo that will be available for download with the launch of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is called Final Fantasy XV - Episode Duscae and takes place near the beginning of the game. Only certain elements will be different from the final game, since this is a demo and Square Enix wants you to get hands on with a unique first-play experience that will be able to give you a better feeling for the game as a whole.

With this announcements Square Enix has also revealed the Tokyo Game Show 2014 of Final Fantasy XV. Enjoy!

Final Fantasy Type-0

It was already leaked yesterday that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will contain a demo of Final Fantasy XV and now it has been officially confirmed by Square Enix. Also the release dates have been announced. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One first in North America on 17 March 2015, secondly in Japan on 19 March 2015 and Europe one day later on 20 March 2015.

Together with this annoucement, Square Enix has also released the Tokyo Game Show 2014 trailer of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD that shows some of the games battle system and a part of the worldview.

Final Fantasy XV

According to GameInformer (they have removed the article later though) Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, which will be released in North America on 17 March 2015, will contain a voucher to download a demo of Final Fantasy XV for free.

Square Enix is calling the demo Episode Duscae, and though it focuses on the early parts of the game, some elements of the progression have been altered in order to make it more suitable for a demo experience.

A representative from Square Enix could not confirm that the demo will be available on the exact same day as Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, but it will be coming to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when it does release.

Final Fantasy XV

During a recent interview by Famitsu, Shinji Hashimoto, producer at Square Enix, said that they will release no new information of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III, which are currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, at next week's E3 2014.

When Famitsu asked if there will be information of Final Fantasy XV, Hashimoto replied with the following:

Well, first I’d like to say that development for FFXV is going well. Internally, we try to ascertain the best timing for revealing new information about FFXV to the fans. So when we were going over our promotion plans, we judged that this year’s E3 would not be the best time to exhibit information about FFXV. Instead we are currently planning to exhibit new information at events after E3 2014. I am extremely grateful to all the fans who excitedly anticipate FFXV, and I’m looking forward to share new information when the timing is right. I would appreciate if fans hold out until then.

About Kingdom Hearts III, Hashimoto said the following:

We are are working diligently on KH3, but I think releasing new information will still take some time. We included a small part regarding the story of KH3 In the new trailer KH 2.5 prepared for E3 2014, so please check that out.

Anyone surprised? It's dissapointing, but was kinda expected.

Final Fantasy XV

Recently an intern document of Square Enix Europe was leaked that says that Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III will be released this year. Square Enix has responded to Siliconera saying the release dates are inaccurate.

"We’re aware an internal document has been in circulation listing release dates for select Square Enix titles. This information contained in this document is inaccurate and features placeholder timing. Specifically – no announcement has been made to date for Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV – their projected release window remains to be advised.”

Final Fantasy XV (which was Final Fantasy Versus XIII before the announcement at E3 2013) and Kingdom Hearts III will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
