A video has appeared on GameVideos from Final Fantasy V Advance. It's an over 4 minutes long video that shows the beginning of the game. This has been recorded with a shaky cam at the Penny Arcade Expo. The game is for the GameBoy Advance and not for the Nintendo DS like saying on their website.

Square Enix has officially commented on the rumored release date adjustment for the North-American version of Final Fantasy III.
The title has indeed been adjusted from Nov 1st to Nov 14th. The ajustment is done because Final Fantasy V is slated to ship for the GBA on Nov 6th, and Square Enix didn’t want the two games competing for shelve space.

Square Enix has yesterday announced updated release dates for the new GameBoy Advance remakes of Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI. Final Fantasy V will be released in Japan on October 12th. Final Fantasy VI will follow this winter.

Two days ago Sony Computer Entertainment held the annual PlayStation Awards. The winner of this year's event was once again Square Enix. They received 3 awards for these games:
- Double Platinum Award for Final Fantasy XII (selling over 2 million copies)
- Platinum Award for Kingdom Hearts II (selling over 1 million copies)
- Gold Award for Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII (selling over 500,000 copies)

Now let's hope those games will also sell well in the rest of the world.

During a recent shareholder meeting, Square Enix announced concern over the supplies of DS and DS Lite. Their reason for being concerned? They do not want supplies of the DS or DS Lite to run out when they are coming close to the launch of Final Fantasy III.

They believe that if there are significant system shortages, it will slow down the sales of FF III, a title they are very excited to launch, and believe will have strong sales on the portable. Nintendo has reassured Square Enix that they are shipping as many units as possible, working to meet the 2 million units supplied each month during the summer period.

Square Enix has trademarked 2 names at the USPTO previous week. The first one is Ring of Fates and the other one is The Crystal Bearers, which might be the 2nd Crystal Chronicles game that will appear on the Nintendo Wii.

More info will hopefully follow after Square Enix E3 conference later this day.

Today UbiSoft released Dragon Quest VIII in Europe! Finally European gamers can play a Dragon Quest game.
I quickly bought the game myself and found something interesting in the manual. On the last page an ad is showed about Kingdom Hearts II with the text: "The Story Continues, Late 2006". So expect that the game will be released by then. I made a scan of the ad so you can view it yourself.

Update: Square-Enix Europe opened a website called I Love Dragon Quest. There you meat Nobu, the world biggest Dragon Quest fan. You have to distract him from doing the longest marathon play. It's a silly game.
