Earlier this week Square Enix held a press conference in Japan to release more information about the game in the Dragon Quest series that is currently in development: Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online.

Since the game was announced back in December 2008 almost nothing was known about the title, only that it will be released on the Nintendo Wii. The game will now also be released on the Nintendo Wii U and will be developed by Square Enix (not like VIII and IX that was developed by Level-5). Yosuke Saito (Nier) will be the producer.

The game takes place in the world of Astortia, which has 5 continents and 5 races. It will feature a job changing system. The game will also have a online feature, which have to paid extra for.

Dragon Quest X will be released in Japan in 2012.

Square Enix has announced that next to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Final Fantasy XIII will be released on the Nintendo Wii. Motomu Toriyama, director of the game: "We at Square Enix has decided to bring our next installment in the Final Fantasy series to the Nintendo Wii, because of the good use of the Wii-mote in the battles." The graphics of the game will be changed to make it compatible with the Nintendo Wii. Also the length of the game will be reduced to fit on one Wii Optical Disc. When the game will be released has not been released. Happy April Fools everybody!

Square Enix announced today at the Game Developers Conference that they will release Final Fantasy IV: The After Years and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord for WiiWare and that the classic Final Fantasy games will be released on the Virtual Console.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is the sequel to Final Fantasy IV, which was released on mobile phone in 2008 and has already been downloaded over 3 million times.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord is the sequel to FinalFantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Kingwhich was released for the WiiWare in 2008.

After many remakes on other consoles, the classic Final Fantasy games can soon also be played on the Wii Virtual Console. Only the Japanese release has been announced, which will take place in May 2009.

Today Nintendo announced the games that will be available for their new service Wii Ware and a Final Fantasy was announced for it. The game is called Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land (damn long title) and in it you have to build your own land and rule over it.
