Final Fantasy Type-0

Square Enix has revealed a new trailer of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD called Enter the Fray to celebrate the opening of Paris Games Week. This trailer transports viewers to the dynamic and enthralling world of Orience, where a turbulent war of nations threatens to tear the land apart.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 17 March 2015 in North America and 20 March 2015 in Europe.

Final Fantasy Type-0

Square Enix has released an English subtitled version of the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Flash Talk Show that was live streamed at the beginning of this month. In this 50 minutes during live stream Hajime Tabata, director of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy XV announces new information about both games.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be released in March 2015 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and comes with a voucher of a demo of Final Fantasy XV called Episode Duscae.

Final Fantasy XV

Tetsuya Nomura has been replaced by Hajime Tabata, director of Final Fantasy Type-0 (HD), as director of Final Fantasy XV. The reason for this switch is that Tetsuya Nomura has been working on the original concept for the story and universe and he has also created the characters. Since the development of Final Fantasy XV has come so far, Nomura’s work is pretty much all in place. He has been moved on to work on other projects and make games that only he could do, like Kingdom Hearts III.

The special playable demo that will be available for download with the launch of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is called Final Fantasy XV - Episode Duscae and takes place near the beginning of the game. Only certain elements will be different from the final game, since this is a demo and Square Enix wants you to get hands on with a unique first-play experience that will be able to give you a better feeling for the game as a whole.

With this announcements Square Enix has also revealed the Tokyo Game Show 2014 of Final Fantasy XV. Enjoy!

Final Fantasy Type-0

It was already leaked yesterday that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will contain a demo of Final Fantasy XV and now it has been officially confirmed by Square Enix. Also the release dates have been announced. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One first in North America on 17 March 2015, secondly in Japan on 19 March 2015 and Europe one day later on 20 March 2015.

Together with this annoucement, Square Enix has also released the Tokyo Game Show 2014 trailer of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD that shows some of the games battle system and a part of the worldview.

Final Fantasy XV

According to GameInformer (they have removed the article later though) Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, which will be released in North America on 17 March 2015, will contain a voucher to download a demo of Final Fantasy XV for free.

Square Enix is calling the demo Episode Duscae, and though it focuses on the early parts of the game, some elements of the progression have been altered in order to make it more suitable for a demo experience.

A representative from Square Enix could not confirm that the demo will be available on the exact same day as Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, but it will be coming to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when it does release.

Square Enix

At the E3 it was revealed that Final Fantasy Type-0 will get a HD version on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. During PAX an interviewer of IGN asked Hajime Tabata, director of the game, asked why it isn't coming to PlayStation Vita. Tabata's answer a bit vague, but he kept circling around to the idea of his excitement of finally being able to play through the portable game on the big screen, on new hardware, and the fact that it’ll now be able to get out to a much wider audience.

Tabata assured that Final Fantasy Type-0 will be a full retail game and that is it currently about 80% done.

Final Fantasy Type-0

A couple of days ago it was announced that the fan translation of Final Fantasy Type-0, under the name of Operation Doomtrain, has reached the final state and can now be played by everybody. Started by Sky back on 1 January 2013 it was a reaction to Square Enix's decision to not release it in the West due to market reasons.

Today, Square Enix has announced that we will still receive an official version of Final Fantasy Type-0, but not on the PlayStation Portable. It will be remastered in HD on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as Final Fantasy Type-0 HD!

On the American PlayStation.Blog, Sakura Minamida, senior product manager at Square Enix, said the following:

I’d like to start this out by thanking everyone who let us know how badly you wanted this game to come to North America. Ever since the original PlayStation Portable release in Japan, you guys have never given up on it, raising your voices in an effort to see this title come to North America and Europe. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s coming and it’s going to be in HD.

Stay tuned for more details in the future.

Final Fantasy Type-0

In the latest issue of Famitsu Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy Agito. A free-to-play RPG for iOS and Android which is set in the same world as Final Fantasy Type-0, which was released almost two years ago in Japan for PSP, but never got a worldwide release.

Today Square Enix has released the first trailer of the game.

Final Fantasy Type-0

While Japanese fans are waiting for the sequel of Final Fantasy Type-0, we are still waiting for the original to be released. According to an anonymous source the release was very close.

The anonymous source, who recorded a voice over for the game, has told Operation Suzaku that the English localization of Final Fantasy Type-0 is at least 90% complete. The dubbing sessions took place just after the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 in Japan on 27 October 2011. The recording of the voices was complete.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Class Zero

But things went wrong at the beginning of 2012. PSP software and hardware sales had not been doing very well in the United States. Square Enix reacted to this by putting the localization of the game on hold.

Recently GameSpot had an interview with Hajime Tabata, scenario director of Final Fantasy Type-0. He said that they are waiting for the fans to strongly show interest for the game.

Operation Suzaku

Operation Suzaku has started a petition to bring Final Fantasy Type-0 to the west. You can sign the petition here.
