Advent Children will be screening as part of the 5th edition of the London International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film. During Animé All Night, on April 29th, the movie will be one of the featured movies. This will be the theatrical premiere for the movie in the UK.

According to Sony Pictures United Kingdom's website Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be released in Europe on 24 April 2006. This means it will be released on the same day as in the United States. Other contries, like Australia, will be getting the movie on the same day proberly.
On the website you can also find the subtitles the movie will be provided with. And a good thing is too is that the movie can also been seen in Japanese language.

Today Square Enix has come with a press release which states the official release date of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for the United States! The movie will be released in the US on April 25th on DVD and UMD. The DVD will be a special edition containing 2 discs which will cover bonus material like "the making of", deleted scenes and a "Sneak Peak" of the upcoming games in the "Compilation of FINAL FANTASY VII" series.

Square Enix has also updated their Advent Children website, which shows the countdown now and some new character profiles.

Yesterday Square Enix announced that it has sold over one million copies of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in Japan. Three weeks after the release on 14th of September the movie had been bought 700,000 times already. Producer Shinji Hashimoto said: "I'm extremely happy that we managed to achieve sales that can only be called wonderful in particular for an original movie title."
After some serious delays Square Enix still wants to release the movie in North America and Europe after the succes of the movie in Japan. No release date has been announced yet though.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Yesterday Square-Enix has announced that its CG movie sequel Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children has recorded sales exceeding 700,000 copies in Japan since its September 14th release. According to the company, the limited edition DVD Box and the first print limited edition have both sold out completely. While it did not provide any numbers, it also revealed that the UMD version of the movie was very popular as well.

Producer Shinji Hashimoto was pleased with the results, saying after the success in Japan, the expectations for the upcoming releases in North America and Europe were very high. The succcess in Japan would also encourage Square Enix to aim even higher in the future.

The movie's popularity has also been evident in Tokyo, as this editor found in late September. Despite having already been available for two weeks, the DVD version was sold out in Yodobashi Camera's main store in Shinjuku as well as the HMV Shibuya store.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Today the OST from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children has been released in Japan. The box contains of 2 discs with a total of 26 songs. The orginal music is written by Nobuo Uematsu and has been arranged by Kenichiro Fukui, Tsuyoshi Sekito & Keiji Kawamori. The OST costs ¥3000 ($27).
