Final Fantasy XIV free trial period extended (again)

Square Enix has announced that due to technical problems in Final Fantasy XIV they are giving their players another 30 days extra of free play time.

The company wants players to experience the coming 'large-scale' version updates that should 'improve' the game. The first one is planned for 25 November, while the other one will take place mid-December.

Final Fantasy XIV was badly received by fans and reviewers. GameSpot gave the game a 4.0 and GameTrailers a 4.2, making it the lowest score a Final Fantasy game has received to date.

SMALL UPDATE: The port to the PlayStation 3 has been completed.
