Final Fantasy VII, IX, X, X-2 and XII coming to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy XII will be released on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2019. It is the first time these Final Fantasy titles will be available on Microsoft and Nintendo consoles.

Final Fantasy VII was released back in 1997 on the original PlayStation and was the first title not to be released on a Nintendo console. In 2015 the PlayStation 4 version was released which is a port from the PC version. Most likely the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch version will be based on that version.

Final Fantasy IX was released back in 2000, the last Final Fantasy on the original PlayStation. In 2017 the PlayStation 4 version was released which is a port from the PC version released in 2016. Most likely the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch version will be based on that version.

Final Fantasy X was released back in 2001 on the PlayStation 2 with its sequel Final Fantasy X-2 in 2003. Both games got a HD remaster (Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster) in 2013 on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. In 2015 a PlayStation 4 version was released and in 2016 the PC version.

Final Fantasy XII was released back in 2006, the last Final Fantasy on the PlayStation 2. In 2017 the game got a HD remaster called Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on PlayStation 4. In February 2018 the PC version was released.

But where's Final Fantasy VIII?
