Third-Party Tool Users banned from Final Fantasy XI

Square Enix has announced today that they have suspended or permanently removed 1,400 accounts from Final Fantasy XI because of using third-party tools, which is a violation of the user agreement.

Third-party tools will destroy the balance of the game and encourange RMT (real money trading) activities. Square Enix will continue to strict actions against those individuals that they have confirmed to have used such tools.

Final Fantasy III

Final Fantasy III exceeds Square Enix's expectation

According to a report on the entertainment page of Japan's Mainichi Interactive news site, Square Enix's Final Fantasy III topped the 500,000 mark in its first week of sales. Square Enix's expectation was to sale 350,000 copies in the first week on the release. Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS was released on August 24th.

Dirge of Cerberus hits Europe in November

Yesterday Square Enix Ltd. has announced that Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII will be released in Europe this November exclusively on PlayStation 2. The game will have the same changes in the gameplay as the North American version.

4 minutes of Final Fantasy V Advance

A video has appeared on GameVideos from Final Fantasy V Advance. It's an over 4 minutes long video that shows the beginning of the game. This has been recorded with a shaky cam at the Penny Arcade Expo. The game is for the GameBoy Advance and not for the Nintendo DS like saying on their website.

Final Fantasy III for Nintendo DS released in Japan!

Today Square Enix has released Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS in Japan! The game will be available at stores there for the price of 5,980 yen. If you live in Japan, just get the game. It's a great game and there's finally a remake of Final Fantasy III.

On the official website of the game you can take a look at the characters, all the jobs that you can change into watch high quality movies (which look awesome) and download wallpapers.

Chocobo Raising now available!

In the recent update Chocobo Raising has become available for Final Fantasy XI players! This new feature can let adventures create care plans and raise their own chocobo. When you got yourself a chocobo egg you can trade it at a chocobo trainer of the Vana’diel Chocobo Society to let the egg hatch and raise your chocobo. Click here for more details.

Final Fantasy III DS NA Release Date Adjusted + Release Date FFVA

Square Enix has officially commented on the rumored release date adjustment for the North-American version of Final Fantasy III.
The title has indeed been adjusted from Nov 1st to Nov 14th. The ajustment is done because Final Fantasy V is slated to ship for the GBA on Nov 6th, and Square Enix didn’t want the two games competing for shelve space.

Forums Login System + Roms only for members

On the website a new little feature has arrived! A login script for the forums. If you have an account at our forums you can use this form to login. When logged in you can see how many posts you made on the forums.

Due to this new feature roms are no longer available for guests to download. Now you need to be registered member at our forums and have at least 50 posts (with no spam) to download the roms. I've changed this due to the lots of bandwidth the roms are using. And I don't want to exceed my bandwidth every time.

Dirge of Cerberus released in North America!

Today is the day Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus is finally released in North America. The North American release has been improved from the Japanese release. When the game will be released in Europe is still unknown.

The official North American website has recently been updated with information about the system, a multimedia section where you can download two wallpapers and watch the North American trailer and a special tribute section to Final Fantasy VII. There you can vote for your most memorable moments and play hangman where you have to answer ten questions correctly to unveil a new wallpaper.

Final Fantasy XII

Official Final Fantasy XII US website open!

After a couple of days delay the Official North American Final Fantasy XII website has opened! On the website you can find information about the game, the characters and the world called Ivalice. At the mutimedia section you can download buddy icons for AIM and watch a trailer.

Final Fantasy XII will be released in North America on October 31st.

Kingdom Hearts II

Kingdom Hearts II release at September 28th?

The official Australian PlayStation website wrote a preview of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts II. As release date they stated September 28th.
Square Enix hasn't confirmed this release date yet. When they do, you'll read it here on Hell and Heaven Net!

Final Fantasy V & VI release date

Square Enix has yesterday announced updated release dates for the new GameBoy Advance remakes of Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI. Final Fantasy V will be released in Japan on October 12th. Final Fantasy VI will follow this winter.
