Materia: Magic | Support | Command | Independent | Summon

Magic can be divided into 3 categories: Restore, Attack and Indirect.

¤ Curative Magic

Restore
Spells:
Cure, Cure2, Regen, Cure3
Effect: Cures HP.
Location: Midgar Reactor No. 1

Revive
Spells:
Life, Life2
Effect: Revives fallen allies.
Location: Store in Junon.

Heal
Spells:
Poisona, Esuna, Resist
Effect: Cures abnormal status.
Location: Store in Kalm.

FullCure
Spells:
FullCure
Effect: Cures all HP.
Location: Item Shop in Cosmo Canyon (Disc 2).

¤ Attack Magic

Fire
Spells:
Fire, Fire2, Fire3
Effect: Elemental Fire attack.
Location: Store in Midgar 7th Heaven.

Ice
Spells:
Ice, Ice2, Ice3
Effect: Elemental Ice attack.
Location: Initial Equip.

Lightning
Spells:
Bolt, Bolt2, Bolt3
Effect: Elemental Lightning attack.
Location: Initial Equip.

Earth
Spells:
Quake, Quake2, Quake3
Effect: Elemental Earth attack.
Location: Store in Kalm.

Poison
Spells:
Bio, Bio2, Bio3
Effect: Elemental Poison attack.
Location: Cheat in Shinra Building on 67th Floor.

Gravity
Spells:
Demi, Demi2, Demi3
Effect: Elemental Gravity attack.
Location: Defeat Gi-Nattak at Cave of the Gi.

Transform
Spells:
Frog, Small
Effect: Changes into/or cures Frog.
Location: Mt. Corel, or Cait Sith's Initial Equip.

Mystify
Spells:
Confu, Berserk
Effect: Causes Confuse or Berserk.
Location: Store in Gongaga.

Seal
Spells:
Sleepel, Silence
Effect: Causes Sleep or Silence.
Location: Materia Store at Junon.

Comet
Spells:
Comet, Comet2
Effect: Non-elemental attack.
Location: City of the Ancients.

Contain
Spells:
Break, Freeze, Tornado, Flare
Effect: Very strong elemental attack.
Location: White Chocobo at Mideel. Give him a Mimett Greens and then tickle him behind his ear.

Ultima
Spells:
Ultima
Effect: Non-elemental attack.
Location: Collect the Huge Materia at North Corel (Disc 2).

¤ Indirect Magic

Barrier
Spells:
Barrier, MBarrier, Reflect, Wall
Effect: Causes Barrier, MBarrier, Reflect or Wall on an ally.
Location: Materia Store at Junon.

Destruct
Spells:
DeBarrier, DeSpell, Death
Effect: Removes a Barrier/Spell, cause Death.
Location: Shinra Building at Nibelheim. From Sephiroth.

Time
Spells:
Haste, Slow, Stop
Effect: Time changes.
Location: Store at Rocket Town.

Exit
Spells:
Escape, Remove
Effect: Escape from battle, removes an enemy.
Location: Materia Store at Junon.

Shield
Spells:
Shield
Effect: Causes Shield on an ally.
Location: The Crater (Disc 3).

¤ Master Magic

When equipping this materia all the magic spells will be available.

You have 2 options to obtain Master Magic:
1. Master all Magic Materia and go to Bugenhagen in Cosmo Canyon and 'speak' with the green Huge Materia.
2. Trade the Earth Harp at a man in Kalm.
