A couple of days ago Square Enix has confirmed that the Nintendo DS version of Final Fantasy IV will be released in North America. The release date will be 22 July 2008.

Originally this game was released on the Super Nintendo back in 1991. After the remake for the PlayStation and the Game Boy Advance this remake brings full 3D graphics, fully-voiced dramatic cutscenes and added content. The retail price will be $39,99 USD.

During this week a lot of scans from Japanese gaming magazines have been appeared on the internet. Due to projects and homework I have to do with college, I didn't had the time to upload them on the day they were released, but here they are!

Square Enix

Recently a special DVD from Media Works has been released in Japan called CLOUD with trailers from Square Enix games. Under those trailers are one from Final Fantasy XIII and one from Final Fantasy Versus XIII. The footage in the trailers are seen in earlier trailers, but now they are in much higher quality.

Jump Festa is an expo that's all about anime and manga, but also games will be displayed.

There's still not really much known about Star Ocean 4, which was announced last May at the Square Enix Party. Will Square Enix release some information or not?

Square Enix has announced that they will release the remakes of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II for the PlayStation Portable separately across Europe in early 2008. The new edition features redrawn graphics and character art, exclusive all-new dungeons, full 16: 9 widescreen visuals and an updated camera view that gives players a new perspective on these two timeless classics that defined the RPG genre.

During Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show presentation the company announced that they are working on 3 new Kingdom Hearts titles bringing the series to the Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and mobile phones.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (logo)

A PlayStation Portable game which looks to be a single-player game and tells the story of three new characters who are searching for the Keyblade master.

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (logo)

A Nintendo DS game which will feature Roxas and Axel in both single-player and multiplayer missions and will be in fully 3D.

Kingdom Hearts: Coded (logo)

A mobile phone game which is set after the events of the first Kingdom Hearts game. The game will most likely only be released on Japanese mobile phones.

Square Enix has opened their official website of the Nintendo DS remake of Final Fantasy IV.
They've also opened an official Star Ocean portal called Eternal Sphere that will cover the two remakes Star Ocean: First Departure and Star Ocean: Second Evolution and the new game Star Ocean 4. When you click on one of the games you'll see TGS2007, which most likely means that more information about the games will be announced on the Tokyo Game Show.

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VI Advance will be released in Europe on 29 June by Nintendo on the Game Boy Advance. The game will not only be available in the improved English translation, but also in other European languages. The game has been rated by PEGI as 7+ and will have a retail price of £30 / 40 euro.
