Final Fantasy III exceeds Square Enix's expectation

According to a report on the entertainment page of Japan's Mainichi Interactive news site, Square Enix's Final Fantasy III topped the 500,000 mark in its first week of sales. Square Enix's expectation was to sale 350,000 copies in the first week on the release. Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS was released on August 24th.

Final Fantasy III for Nintendo DS released in Japan!

Today Square Enix has released Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS in Japan! The game will be available at stores there for the price of 5,980 yen. If you live in Japan, just get the game. It's a great game and there's finally a remake of Final Fantasy III.

On the official website of the game you can take a look at the characters, all the jobs that you can change into watch high quality movies (which look awesome) and download wallpapers.

In the latest issue of V-Jump four pages are covered of brand new screenshots from the DS version of Final Fantasy III. Also you can see artwork of the game.

Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS will be released on 24th of August in Japan.

A five minutes video of Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS have been uploaded to the net. In the video, which is courtesy of JeuxFrance, you can see the game in action. You can see how a town, the world map and the battle system looks and the interaction with NPCs. The video has been recorded at the E3.

Square Enix has opened their Final Fantasy III website. The DS remake will feature 3D visuals and a WIFI online mode. You can only see a teaser now at the website.

In the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Nintendo Dreams exclusive screenshots are located from Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS. Also the logo has been reveiled. This 16 years old Famicon game will be fully in 3D.
The screenshots show a town area, the inside of a shop, a dungeon and a boss fight. The game is set to be released in 2006.
