To celebrate the upcoming release of Final Fantasy XIII-2 next week Square Enix has temporary reduced the price of Final Fantasy titles that are available in the European PlayStation Store.

On the American PlayStation Blog Square Enix has announced the release dates of Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI on the American PlayStation Network.
The first game that will be released on PSN is Chrono Cross on 8 November. The sequel to Chrono Trigger was released back in 2000 and won lots of awards, like Game of the Year from GameSpot.
The second game will be Final Fantasy V on 22 November that was never released in America till Final Fantasy Anthology was released.
That makes Final Fantasy VI the last game and one of the big ones which will be released on 6 December.
Final Fantasy V and VI for DS on hold

The remake of Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV for the Nintendo DS were positivity received by fans, but a lot of fans want Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI to be released on the Nintendo DS too. However Shinji Hashimoto tweeted that they are still considering remaking them.
"As for FF5 and 6, there are technical problems; presently these are also undecided."
This doesn't mean that the games aren't coming. It might be that Square is waiting for a new version of the Nintendo DS with increased power to be released.

Siliconera Final Fantasy V Advance delayed for Europe

Nintendo has announced that Final Fantasy V Advance will Launch on April 13th all around Europe.
This is a delay of a month, since previously the game was slated for March 16th.

Amazon Japan has released a promo movie of the upcoming GameBoy Advance games Final Fantasy V & VI Advance. The promo shows ingame screens and artwork of the games.

Final Fantasy V Advance will be released in Japan on October 12th and Final Fantasy VI Advance will be released in Japan on November 30th.

A video has appeared on GameVideos from Final Fantasy V Advance. It's an over 4 minutes long video that shows the beginning of the game. This has been recorded with a shaky cam at the Penny Arcade Expo. The game is for the GameBoy Advance and not for the Nintendo DS like saying on their website.

Final Fantasy III DS NA Release Date Adjusted + Release Date FFVA

Square Enix has officially commented on the rumored release date adjustment for the North-American version of Final Fantasy III.
The title has indeed been adjusted from Nov 1st to Nov 14th. The ajustment is done because Final Fantasy V is slated to ship for the GBA on Nov 6th, and Square Enix didn’t want the two games competing for shelve space.

Square Enix has yesterday announced updated release dates for the new GameBoy Advance remakes of Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI. Final Fantasy V will be released in Japan on October 12th. Final Fantasy VI will follow this winter.

Square Enix has announced that they will be bringing Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI to the Game Boy Advance in 2006. The GBA versions of these titles will be improved, just like the conversion of Final Fantasy IV, announced earlier this year.
Square Enix President Youichi Wada also addressed the development of Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS. Instead of being a simple clean-up of the original's Famicom-style graphics, Square Enix are making the characters and environments fully 3D. Hiromichi Tanaka, producer of the title, says that to keep the vibe of the original title intact, developers from the original title have been brought onboard for the remake.
