Dragon Quest Heroes II is already available in Japan since May and after that it became quiet if the game will hit the west, untill today. Square Enix has announced, via the official Twitter account of Dragon Quest, that Dragon Quest Heroes II will be released in North America on 25 April 2017 and Europe on 28 April 2017 on PlayStation 4.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is a hack & slash action-RPG developed by Omega Force and was also released in Japan on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. No suprise that Square Enix skipped these systems due to the lack of sales.

Today, on the 30th anniversary of the Draqon Quest series, Square Enix has announced that they will release Dragon Quest Builders in North America and Europe this October. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita (digital only).

In Dragon Quest Builders players will use their creativity to gather and combine a variety of unique tools and materials in order to rebuild Alefgard, a realm destroyed by the menacing ruler of the monsters, the Dragonlord.

Seems to me this game is a clone of the Minecraft and Square Enix wants to take advantage of the hipe.

At the E3 it was revealed that Final Fantasy Type-0 will get a HD version on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. During PAX an interviewer of IGN asked Hajime Tabata, director of the game, asked why it isn't coming to PlayStation Vita. Tabata's answer a bit vague, but he kept circling around to the idea of his excitement of finally being able to play through the portable game on the big screen, on new hardware, and the fact that it’ll now be able to get out to a much wider audience.

Tabata assured that Final Fantasy Type-0 will be a full retail game and that is it currently about 80% done.

Sony Computer Entertainment has announced today that they are selling all their 9,520,000 Square Enix shares to a company called SMBC Nikko Securities. This will generate an income of 15.3 billion yen, around $ 150 million USD / € 108 million which will be marked down Sony's financial report for the year ending 31st March 2015.

Sony is lately in severe financial weather and this is a financial boost for the company. This marks the seperation of a long partnership that resulted in a strong presence of the Final Fantasy series on PlayStation hardware over the years.

What the exact reason is for the sale is unknown.

17-04 Update: Sale price was incorrect and has been updated after Sony's announcement.
