Once there was a boy that lived close to the border between Highland and the City Alliance. When he closed his eyes, he could see the city where he was born for the mind. Genkaku, his father through adoption, was hard with the boy en brought him much wisdom.

Nanami was the foster sister of the boy. She and Genkaku were all the family that he had ever known. Genkaku and the boy where always in Nanami's thoughts. The boy also had a good friend called Jowy, for who he had no secrets. And vice versa. Together they learned much and did up much knowledge of life.

But there was one thing in his live that marked more then whatever. And that was to see again his home town. On one day his and Jowy's eyes crossed and Jowy began to laugh. "You already have disguised yourself, huh?" said he. "You can no longer wait I see". It was not more then normal, because the next day the boy should go back to his home town, the town of Kyaro.

How the war started or on which reason the seize-fire was restrained he could not known. Of only one thing he was certain and that stirred him deep to his soul. He was going home.

The gearwheels of arrangement creaked, slowly but sure, with the thoughts and wishes of the hurdles people that crosses each other path, sometimes soft sometimes merciless.

But his fate shall soon take a dramatic turn and his life shall never be the same...
