» PHP Scripts

Here are some handy PHP scripts/programs that you can use. These scripts are all freeware except stated otherwise. They can't be downloaded from this website, except when the script isn't available for download anymore on the site because it's down.

¤ Forums

• MyBB - One of the best free forum systems that is currently available.
• SMF - Forum script based on YaBB, but in PHP with a lot of features.
• phpBB - Also a good one to use, but watch for security issues. Recently a complete new version has been released.
• Invision Board - A forum system that was free but now costs money.
• Burning Board - I've used this forum script for a long time. First 1.2 and then Lite (both free). The new version costs a lot of money.
• vBulletin - I use this script now, it cost some, but it's worth the money. Proberly the best forum script there is!

¤ Misc

• Aardvark Topsites PHP - One of the best topsites scripts available!
• Shoutbox - Cool PHP script that adds a shoutbox to your site.
• Sympoll - Good poll script, and easy to use!
• Fusion News - A good news scripts with a lot of features.
• CuteNews - An alternative news program script, has some better layout options.
• phpMyChat - A chatroom script, very good, doesn't require an IRC channel, only a MySQL database :P
• Advanced Guestbook - A nice looking guestbook with some neat features, but with no spam protection.
• Lazarus Guestbook - Based on Advanced Guestbook, but with spam protection and more options.
• Net Guest - Simple users online script displaying how many users browsing your website and were.
