» Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children » Characters
Note that these characters and the information is based upon the prequel to this
film, the PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII, and also what has been shown by
the trailers released. The names of the characters have been taken straight from
the official website on Square-Enix's Japanese website.
|
Cloud Strife
The main character of the movie, and was also the main
character of the game prequel Final Fantasy VII. After
killing Sephiroth, Cloud let Midgar be able to live
in peace. But, Cloud feels as if a reunion is coming,
and finds himself mixed up in what seems to be not only
a new battle, but another battle that will be fought
for the second time.

|
Sephiroth
The main villain, and also the arch enemy of Cloud.
Even though he died in the game, it seems Sephiroth
plays a major role in the movie. Could Sephiroth
have a relation to this "reuinion"? Could he be apart
of this battle? And why are their flashbacks of when
Cloud saw Sephiroth walking through the flames after
Nibelheim was burned down?
|
|
|
|
Kadaj
Little is known about this mysterious new villain,
but it seems he worships another mysterious character,
and is possibly doing someone's dirty work by out
to kill Cloud. Kadaj is seen bowing down to someone
in a white robe. Who is he possibly bowing down to?
Is Kadaj a descendant of Sephiroth? What is his
purpose in the "reunion"?
|
|
|
|
Yazoo
Yet another new and mysterious villain added onto
the odds Cloud and the gang must overcome. This
villain has a slight resemblence to Kadaj. Is there
any relation between the two? Several scenes show
Yazoo trying at all costs to kill Cloud, and also
plays a role in the "reunion" that Cloud speaks about.
Is Yazoo a link in the reunion, or just another villain?
|

|
Tifa Lockheart
Yes, Cloud's childhood friend is back! She looks
like she's ready to kick some butt more than
ever. She is seen fighting Loz throughout some
scenes, and is sometimes seen with Cloud. Is she
fighting to help Cloud, or to discover what this
reunion is? Or is she doing it for Aeris?
|
|
|
|
Vincent Valentine
The mysterious but cool ally is also apart of Advent Children.
It seems Vincent is trying to find a purpose to the reunion
as well, and feels like someone from the past is trying to
make connections with this reunion, but who? With his
curiousity as his guide, Vincent makes his way into the
war.

Barret Wallace
Barret is back in action. Still holding a gun on his arm,
you can only hope he has the same attitude. Ready to help
his friends and allies in need, Barret joins the fight
unwilling to back down. But what is Barret's true cause to
fight? Just like in the game, he has his own reasons to fight,
which is the only reason he chooses to play a role.
|
|
|
|
Loz
Just another mysterious and new villain added onto the odds
the party must overpower. Not much is known about him, and
he is not seen very often either. Clips are shown of him
fighting with Tifa, and it seems like he enjoys it very
much. Is he a link to the reunion? He is also shown with
some members of the Turks. Does he have a relation to them?
|
|
|
|
Marlene
The daughter of Dyne, the lovable and sweet child from
the game is still around. Just like in the game, it seems
she only has one main purpose. But what is it? So far,
it has not been made clear. What kind of effect will
the war have on her with Barret involved? What is
planned for her in the movie?

|
Cid Highwind
The pilot has returned. Still carrying around his spear, and
still wearing his goggles for flight, it seems Cid hasn't
changed much. But that's a good thing, because his attitude
always had him ready for a fight. Who does Cid fight in this?
Does he play a role in the reunion?
